Geojit BNP Paribas to spread wings

Geojit BNP Paribas, a leading financial services company, plans to open 75 new offices in the current financial year.

C. J. George, Managing Director, told reporters here on Wednesday that the company had 520 offices now and with the new offices planned, the total number would go up to 600 by the end of the current financial year. Around 10 new branches would be opened in Tamil Nadu alone, he said.

Mr. George said the company's assets under management (AUM) recently crossed the Rs. 10,000-crore mark. The company had joint ventures in the Middle East providing services to the large non-resident Indians in UAE, Oman, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia.

The Managing Director said over the last 10 years, Geojit had been focussing on online services.

The company launched a new enhanced online investment platform a few months ago. He said the software, named FLIP (financial investment platform), was an integrated platform.
