GEMAC to make foray into energy segment

GEMAC Energy, belonging to the GEMAC group, has been formed to enter the energy segment and to support the infrastructure development.

GEMAC is the brain child of Srinivasan, former ED of NLC, A. K. Pathanjali, former ED of Hofincons, N. Shanmuganathan (consultant) and N. Kumaran (promoter), architect and management professional. The team is also supported by some senior expert professionals.

GEMAC Energy is planning to put up a power project of 2 x 600 MW in the South. It will also be taking up operation and maintenance of power plants. To address this area, GEMAC has entered into an agreement with a major Chinese power generation company for providing operation and maintenance services, commissioning and assistance and sourcing of spares required for any Chinese equipment.
