Social networking major Facebook, on Tuesday, launched its first ever online gambling app in the United Kingdom, which allowed people to stake cash.
With the launch of Bingo & Slots Friendzy, the new Jackpotjoy application made in a partnership with Gamesys, one of U.K.’s leading online gambling providers, Facebook users aged 18 and above in the U.K. would be able to play games for cash prizes, Gamesys said in a statement. .
“A series of controls will be in place to protect under 18 and vulnerable people while enabling adult Facebook users to enjoy the gaming experience,” Gamesys added.
