Diabetic friendly snack from Britannia

Britannia Industries is undertaking significant awareness campaign about diabetes management, according to Anuradha Narasimhan, Category Director, Health and Wellness.

Briefing presspersons on Wednesday here Ms. Anuradha said the company over the years demonstrated significant initiatives in the health and wellness segment.

To coincide with World Diabetes Day on November 14, the company launched Britannia NutriChoice ?Diabetic Friendly' Essentials specially designed for people with diabetes. It wanted to educate people that diabetes was a complex problem but the solutions and lifestyle choices were not difficult to adopt, she said. The company would intend to partner pharma companies for research and development.

The product, available in two variants ? oats cookies and ragi cookies ? in two pack sizes priced at Rs.25 and Rs.50 respectively. The product will be available in all metros. In Tamil Nadu, it will be available in eight cities.
