Blast Furnace department of the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) bagged the prestigious Srujani rolling trophy for the best department for 2008—09.
This was for the second consecutive year that the same department bagged the award.
The second best department award was presented to the Design department.
S N Roy, General manager and his team received the trophy for Blast Furnace department from the RSP Managing Director at a function here yesterday.
Aparup Bhattacharya, Deputy General Manager of the design department and his team received the trophy from the MD.
The Srujani Creativity scheme was launched by the RSP in 1989.
Since then the scheme has successfully harnessed the creative and innovative potential of the employees and contributed significantly in the progress of the steel plant.
