German luxury car manufacturer Audi on Saturday announced that its Indian outfit Audi India had managed to exceed its 2009 annual target of 1,500 cars by selling 50 cars in excess of the target, between January and November. The brand is celebrating its 100th year in 2009.

A company release said that the performance represented a 59 per cent growth on a year-to-date basis. Audi India sold 974 cars in the same period in 2008. “With good sales (101 cars) in November, we have not only achieved the target we had set ourselves at the start of the year, but well exceeded it,” Managing Director Audi India Benoit Tiers said.
