BHEL Haridwar unit's improved performance

The Haridwar unit of BHEL registered the highest ever turnover of Rs.4,237 crore with an impressive growth of 31 per cent over last year in which both the units — Heavy Electrical Equipment Plant and Central Foundry Forge Plant — have made significant contributions.

Profit before tax

Sharing the results for 2010-11, D. K. Mody, Executive Director, said here on Thursday that this growth had been achieved by enhancing capacity, improving processes and synchronised efforts put in by the dedicated workforce. The profit before tax has risen by 13 per cent to Rs.652 crore, Mr. Mody said.

During the year, a total of 8,108 MW capacity was synchronised. In addition, 12 existing power stations have been upgraded through modernisation and renovation.
