Suzuki Motorcycle India, which, on Wednesday, unveiled 4 new models at the Delhi Auto Expo, said it aimed to double its share in the two-wheeler market to 5 per cent this year.

“We presently have 12 per cent market share in motorcycles, and 1 per cent in scooters. Cumulatively, our share stands at about 2.5 per cent,” Atul Gupta, Executive Vice-President, Suzuki Motorcycle India, told The Hindu on the sidelines of the conference here.

The company showcased four new vehicles — three motorcycles, namely, V Strom 1000, Inazuma and Gixxer, and a scooter, Let’s.

V Strom 1000 is priced at about Rs.15 lakh. Inazuma is priced at Rs.3 lakh. Gixxer will hit the streets in July. Let’s will be available from April.

Mr. Gupta said “We have just started exports from India to the Middle East, South American countries and some neighbouring countries but the quantity is very small. We want to ramp up exports to about 5 per cent of total production, which stands at 5,45,000,” he said.
