Sapient India on Thursday said it plans to ramp up its headcount by 20 per cent to over 10,000 by the end of this year.
The company, owned by France-based advertising giant Publicis Group, has operations in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific, and presently employs 8,500 people in the country.
“India is a real critical part of our strategy for two reasons: Global clients are addressing India in a big way. British Airways is a global client for us, so is Fiat. So there are global clients that are targeting this market and we are able to help them. India is an exciting consumer market and we are finding brands that are trying to talk to new age customers in a new way,” said Sapient India Managing Director Rajdeep Endow.
