Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. on Thursday launched a whole new range of TVs and home appliances a day before trade event IFA 2013.
New range of TVs
For the Indian market, the company is betting big on UHD TVs to grow its presence, according to company officials. Later this month, Samsung would launch UHD F9000 series TV (55 inch and 65 inch) in the approximate price range of Rs.3.25-4.40 lakh.
The company has already launched the 85 inch UHD TV earlier this year.
The Samsung UHD F9000 has four times higher resolution than Full HD TVs.
The LED panel produces crisp detail, optimal colour and contrast all complemented by Quadmatic Picture Engine, the powerful picture processing technology, company officials said.
The company also unveiled its first 55-inch Curved OLED TV in Berlin. The curved frame provides true-to-life colours. Each pixel illuminates itself and displays pictures with absolute black at a contrast ratio never seen before on conventional TVs.
The result is whole new way to experience TV with pristine colours, sharper contrast, and flawless image reproduction, Samsung officials said.
With the curved OLED TV two people can watch two different channels at the same time on the same screen using multi-view glasses that come with ear buds for stereo sound. This feature, made possible by an exceptional refresh rate, is so advanced that viewers can watch any combination of 2D and 3D content simultaneously.
Samsung has also launched a new refrigerator called FS9000, a new vacuum cleaner and unveiled a printer which will be showcased at IFA.
