Luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz launched its exclusive A-Class and B-Class ‘Edition 1’ in Mumbai on Tuesday. This follows the success of the A-Class and B-Class luxury compact vehicles launched earlier. Mercedes-Benz India (MBIL) has sold more than 2,500 units of these vehicles in the Indian market to-date and account for 20 per cent of the company’s sales volumes, a company statement said. The ‘Edition 1’ will be available in diesel variants only with added features and enhancements. The A-Class and the B-Class ‘Edition 1’ are priced at Rs.26.17 lakh and Rs.28.75 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) and are on sale across company dealerships. The added features include a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable front passenger seat, reverse camera and comfort suspension. The launch of the new vehicles are “an acknowledgement of the strategic significance of the A-Class and B-Class in MBIL’s product strategy,” Boris Fitz, Vice President, Sales & Network Development, MBIL, said in a statement.
“We are confident that the new generation cars will continue its run of popularity and will introduce new customers to our brand”.
