Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) on Saturday introduced the Range Rover Velar in India at a starting price of ₹78.83 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The SUV will come with three engine options — 2.0 litre diesel, 2.0 litre petrol and 3.0 litre diesel.
“…with its addition, the Land Rover product portfolio has a luxury SUV for every customer need,” said Rohit Suri, president and managing director, Jaguar Land Rover India.
“The Velar will further strengthen Land Rover’s position in the overall luxury SUV market in India,” Mr. Suri added.
The SUV will be sold in India as fully imported unit. The Land Rover product range in India includes the Discovery Sport (starting at ₹42.48 lakh), Range Rover Evogue (starting at ₹50.20 lakh), All-New Discovery (starting at ₹71.38 lakh), Range Rover Sport (starting at ₹93.82 lakh) and Range Rover (starting at ₹1.66 crore). All prices are ex-showroom prices in India. The Range Rover Velar is positioned between the Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport, the company said in a statement.
