Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has called a meeting of the Chief Executives of public sector banks on November 23 to review their performance for the quarter ended September.
According to bankers, the government will review banks’ performance in several government schemes, asset quality issues and capital requirements.
“This is the quarterly review meetings where the bank will present its performance to the finance minister,” said a Chief Executive of a public sector bank.
