Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani, who was at the centre of attack from Congress and AAP during the Lok Sabha election campaign, on Monday met Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

The billionaire businessman whose businesses spanning coal trading, coal mining, oil and gas exploration and ports, also met Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami during his visit to the North Block.

Sources described the meetings as courtesy call by the Ahmedabad-based 51-year old businessman, who is considered to be close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Congress and Aam Admi Party had attacked Mr. Adani for allegedly receiving favour from Gujarat government, a charge vehemently denied by both BJP and Mr. Adani.
