Chettinad Cementis a regional player

In the last 14 years, Chettinad Cement has moved from being a Coimbatore-centric to a regional player by having presence in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, said its Managing Director, M.A.M.R. Muthiah. Mentioning that the demand for cement would pick up in the next 2-3 months, he said: “The present capacity utilisation of our plants is 55 per cent, and we are fully geared to meet the future demand. In the last 20 years, we have been investing in cements and power sector alone.”
