Birlasoft acquires US firm EnablePath

'Company is not looking at acquisitions to simply increase revenues, but to add capabilities'

Birlasoft, the IT services arm of the CK Birla group, on Monday said it has acquired US-based CRM solutions provider – EnablePath. However, no financial details of the deal were disclosed.

The move will help the CK Birla group firm expand its services across high-end business consulting, cloud transition, implementation, integration and app exchange services developed on the Salesforce.com platform. “This acquisition brings together strengthened solution capabilities, high-end consulting expertise and channel management expertise,” Preeti Das, CEO, Birlasoft said.

She told The Hindu that the company is not looking at acquisitions to simply increase revenues, but to add capabilities. “We will look at capabilities like mobility, analytics and CRM,” she said.

She further added, “Birlasoft would continue to innovative and strengthen solution capabilities through acquisitions and alliances to address the burgeoning demand of specialised solution expertise by different industry segments.” Birlasoft, has 4,000 employees worldwide, and operates in verticals like banking and financial services, insurance, manufacturing, Hitech and Lifesciences.
