Bhushan bid: Liberty to move NCLT

Hit by the rejection of its bid to buy Bhushan Power and Steel, U.K.’s Liberty House plans to move NCLT this week to direct the resolution professional to consider its offer.

“We plan to file an application with National Company Law Tribunal either on Monday or Tuesday and ask it to direct the [resolution professional] and the [Committee of Creditors] to open our bid... We are hopeful that NCLT would clarify and our bid would be opened,” a Liberty House spokesperson said.

Saying Liberty House’s bid was submitted before the bids for Bhushan were opened, the firm said nothing unfair had happened.
