Avaya GlobalConnect selects for IT outsourcing

August 19, 2009 03:27 pm | Updated 03:27 pm IST - New Delhi:

Enterprise communication solution firm Avaya GlobalConnect (AGC) on Wednesday said it has inked an IT outsourcing pact with software services provider Tata Consultancy Services.

Under the multi-year deal, the TCS will assume responsibility of AGC’s internal IT operations and handle the IT needs of the company, AGC said in a statement.

The deal size was, however, not disclosed.

“For us, scalability and cost-control are essential to tap the enormous potential of India market, expand customer base and sustain our leadership position. Outsourcing our IT systems to TCS will allow us to invest the accruing savings towards growth and customer responsiveness,” the AGC Managing Director Anil Nair said.

AGC provides integration solutions for unified communication, contact centres and IP Telephony.
