The provisional winning price for pan-India 3G licence on Monday crossed the Rs. 13,000-crore mark, assuring the exchequer almost Rs. 54,000 crore from the 3G spectrum bidding alone.
After 148 rounds of e-auction, the all-India 3G spectrum price stood at Rs. 13,474 crore, with Mumbai at Rs. 2,433 crore remaining the costliest telecom circle, followed closely by Delhi at Rs. 2,372 crore.
On Saturday (May 8), the provisional winning price was Rs. 12,851 crore and total revenue touching almost Rs. 52,000-crore mark, .
Though bidders, who include top telecom players, are also increasing their bids for other circles, the focus continues to be on Mumbai and Delhi circles.
