Nissan India and Tata Motors have announced increases in the prices of their vehicles from April 1, due to rising input costs.
Nissan India said the prices would rise up to 2% across all its models of Nissan and Datsun vehicles. “Due to rising input costs, we will be increasing the price of our Nissan and Datsun cars with effect from April 2018.” said Jerome Saigot, MD, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd.
Tata Motors too announced it would increase the prices of its entire range of passenger vehicles by up to ₹60,000 (depending on the model) with effect from April 1. “The rising input costs, changing market conditions and various external economic factors, have compelled us to consider the price increase,” said Mayank Pareek, president, Passenger Vehicle Business, Tata Motors.
