A 13-member team of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will meet Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa on Monday.
The delegation, led by CII vice-president Kris Gopalakrishnan will take up issues related to bilateral trade and investment, knowledge cooperation, technology partnerships, infrastructure connectivity and tourism promotion, the CII said in a statement here.
The team comprises representatives of Infosys, ICICI Bank, TVS Group, Alstom Projects India and SREI Infrastructure Finance.
The CII said that it expected the trade between the two nations to touch $7 billion by 2015 from $4.5 billion in 2010-11.The areas of possible collaboration include energy, agriculture, financial services, construction and health care.
The team would also meet Minister for Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa and Minister for Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiyutheen.
During the Sri Lankan President's visit to India in June last year, the two countries agreed on closer economic integration.
India was among the top four investors in the island nation, making investments worth $110 million in 2010, the CII said.
Several Indian companies have planned strategic investments in Sri Lanka in the coming years. Likewise, investments of Sri Lankan companies in India were also surging, it noted.
