Directed by Sarosriram, who has also written the story, screenplay and dialogue, the film has Naveen Chandra and Payal Bose in the lead. Actor Kasturi has danced to a solo number. D. Imman has scored the music, and Yugabharathi has penned the lyrics. The audio of the film was released by producer R.B. Choudry and received by producer Hansraj Saxena.
Music highlights
There are eight songs (three of which are karaoke versions) in the album. ‘Engirundhu,’ sung by Haricharan and Shreya Ghoshal, is a beautiful blend of ragas. Besides, the song has an interesting sax interlude. ‘Poongothai’ in the voices of Sangeetha Rajeswaran and Velmurugan, is equally good. ‘Marandhu Vidu,’ sung by Sriram Parasuram and Chinmayi, is striking where the violin seems to pose questions and give answers. ‘Solla Solla,’ sung by the music director and Ranaina Reddy, is in hip hop style. ‘Thalelo,’ by Shankar Mahadevan, is soothing. ‘Engirundhu’, ‘Marandhu Vidu’ and ‘Solla Solla’ come in the end as karaoke pieces.
What they say…
Producer G. Ragupathy: My background is in real estate. I came in to help my friend producer Bharathi but got involved with the project myself. We have a good film on hand and I hope it clicks at the box office.
Director Sarosriram: I have worked as an assistant to Kadir and Bala. This film came my way when I decided to strike out on my own. We have shot Therodum Veediyile in Super 35 format. We have used three cameras to can the fight sequences. The film has a message.
Hero Naveen Chandra: I have done a couple of films in Tamil and Telugu. It’s a challenging role I have played in Therodum Veediyile . Being a 2D animator, I could visualise each sequence and perform accordingly. I am expecting positive feedback to my performance.
Music director D. Imman:Therodum Veediyile has a good script and a message to society. All of us have put in our best effort and the songs have come out well.
