“I am not a part of the Indian Premier League [IPL],” president-elect of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Sharad Pawar said here on Wednesday when asked by journalists to comment on the controversy surrounding IPL commissioner Lalit Modi.

Declining to answer any questions on the subject, the Union Agriculture and Food Minister said he would only take questions on food and agriculture.

To a question, he said the Empowered Group of Ministers on Food will meet here on Friday to review wheat and rice stocks and procurement. The proposed National Food Security Bill is not likely to come up at the meeting.
