There is a simple way to overcome the difficulties enumerated in the article “Not in their comfort zone” (Sept. 26). The working hours of government offices, educational institutions, and factories in the northeast can be between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. instead of instead of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Similar adjustments can be made with respect to other institutions. Two or more time zones will cause much confusion in train timings and air travel schedules.
