Stage set for Brahmotsavams of Renuka Yellamma temple

Devotees arrive to witness Kalynothsavam

The stage is set for the three-day annual Brahmotsavams of Renuka Yellamma temple at Dhareshpuram village of Kangal mandal in Nalgonda district.

The annual fete commences with Vigneshwara puja on June 7 morning followed by Dhwajarohanam, Devi Mula Mantra Homam, Durga Homam and Baliharanam in the evening. On Saturday, Gavyantha Pujas, Vasthu Puja, Nithya Homalu precede the annual Kalyanmahotsavam of Renuka Devi with Jamadagni, one of the saptharshis at 10.30 a.m.

On the last day of the celebrations, Astothsara Sata Ghatbhisekham with 108 kalasas will be performed followed by Nithyopasana, Baliharanam and Purnahuti. The offering of Bonalu stands out among all the rituals at 3 p.m., which will bring down the curtains on the fete. The temple is located just 10 km away from Nalgonda town on Devarakonda road, which is expected to draw a number of devotees from across the district. Devotees arrive to witness Kalynothsavam on day 2 and Bonalu on the last day. Meanwhile, temple Executive Officer Sulochana said that they had made all necessary arrangements.
