To provide healthcare free of cost to the students of Government Social Welfare Residential Hostels, corporate hospitals as part of their corporate social responsibility adopted several hostels in the town.
Corporate hospitals’ representatives, who met Collector Yogitha Rana during the Prajavani (grievance cell) programme here on Monday, submitted the details of hostels and the students they have adopted. HOPE Hospital, SSK Hospital, Tirumala Hospital, Amrutha Laxmi Hospital, and Maxcure Niharika Hospital came forward to provide medical facilities to students of BC Girls Hostel at Dubba, Social Welfare Girls Hostel at Subashnagar, Giriraj College ST Girls Hostel; BC College Girls Hostel in Subashnagar; and BC College Girls Hostel at C.S Nagar colony.
They would provide health cards to the students, through which they can directly go to to the respective hospital for treatment. No money would be charged for any test or treatment.
On the occasion, the Collector appealed to the hospital representatives to come forward and adopt students of minority residential schools and colleges. Sadanand Reddy of Maxcure Niharika Hospital, Soory of SSK Hospital, Jayaprakash of Amrutha Laxmi Hospital; Gopi of HOPE Hospital, and Parameshwar Reddy of Tirumala Hospital were among those who met the Collector.
District Medical and Health Officer Venkat was also present.
