Adilabad Family Court Judge, Aruna Sarika, on Tuesday posted for judgement on June 14 a revision petition filed by wife of slain Maoist Cherukuri Rajkumar alias Azad, and wife of journalist Hemchandra Pandey.

The petitioners had filed the petition in the court following dismissal of a protest petition in the lower court seeking registering of a murder case against policemen who had participated in the allegedly false encounter killing of the top Maoist and the journalist on July 2, 2010, in Sarkepalli forests of Adilabad district.

Speaking to newsmen after the adjournment, Ms. Padma and Ms. Babita traced the events leading to the death of Azad and Pandey.

The duo also found fault not only with a CBI inquiry into the incident but also with the dismissal of their petition in the lower court in Adilabad.
