Condemning the recent visit of a contingent of State Ministers to the Parappana Agrahara prison in Bengaluru to meet AIADMK chief V.K. Sasikala, PMK leader S. Ramadoss on Friday urged the Governor to remove them from the State Cabinet with immediate effect.

Speaking at the executive committee meeting of the Salem East district unit of the PMK at Attur, Dr. Ramadoss stated that although Sasikala made serious attempts to become the Chief Minister of the State, the Supreme Court verdict in the disproportionate assets case went against her. “Sasikala is, at present, running the Edappadi K. Palaniswami-led Government in Tamil Nadu from the Bengaluru prison. The Governor should initiate action against the Ministers for meeting a person convicted by the Supreme Court on corruption charges,” said Dr. Ramadoss.

Accusing both the DMK and the AIADMK of indulging in corruption, he said that while the DMK was accused in the 2G scam, Jayalalithaa was fined ₹100 crore for her corrupt practices.
