About 3500 students from various CBSE schools in Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Puducherry participated in the week-long event. As many as 87 teams participated in the football event (under-17 and under-19 boys category) from Sept. 18 to 21 and 77 teams took part in the Kho-kho event in the under-17 and under-19 category for boys and girls which was held from Sept. 23 to 25 at the Chellappan Vidya Mandir School grounds.

Shanthi.G.Jaidev, Senior Commandant, CISF 4th Reserve Battalion, inaugurated the football event on Sept. 18. Former India football player Raman Vijayan graced the closing ceremony on Sept 21.

G. Narayanan, sub-collector, Devakottai, inaugurated the kho-kho event in the presence of Pandeeswari, former Asian Games Gold Medallist, on Sept. 23 while the valedictory function on Sept 25 saw Pradip Kumar, IPS, DIG, Madurai Range, distributing the prizes.

Football (Boys) Under-17: Chettinad Public School, Karaikudi; Under-19: St. Joseph's Residential School, Chennai.

Kho-kho: Under-19: Boys and Girls: Sri Vidyamandir HSS, Salem; Under-17:

Boys: Smt K.N. Shah P.M. Chetty V Vidyalaya, Chennai; Girls: The Titan School, Hosur.
