Karunanidhi to meet Manmohan, Sonia tomorrow

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi will be here on Sunday to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi to discuss the latest political situation, almost a year after his last visit before formation of the UPA-II government.

The DMK chief is expected to meet Mr. Singh and Ms. Gandhi later in the day.

Mr. Karunanidhi, who will be here on a two-day visit primarily for a meeting with the Planning Commission to finalise the State’s annual allocation plan, is expected to discuss Sri Lankan Tamils issue with Mr. Singh and Ms. Gandhi.

Mr. Karunanidhi will also meet President Pratibha Patil on Sunday and will invite her for the inauguration of the World Tamil Conference.
