CCTV cameras installed as part of security measures

CCTV cameras have been fixed in over 24 locations here in the municipal limits as part of the extended security measures in the wake of recent incidents of crime here.

Further, the CCTVs are slated to be set up in 60 more locations here in the town.

As part of the increased surveillance in the wake of recent incidents of crimes of murders and chain-snatching, Hosur has come under the scanner for being a freeway for notorious crimes and outlaws.

Following this, CCTV cameras, as part of surveillance and monitoring, have been put up in 24 locations here. They include Hosur bus stand, Bagalur road, Gandhi Nagar, Ram Nagar, MGR road junction, mosque road, Raghavendra temple, government hospital among other spots.

The cameras are monitored by a 24-hour control room at Hosur bus stand.

Earlier, the control room monitoring the CCTVs was inspected by the Minister for Animal Husbandry Balakrishna Reddy.
