ECI seeks report on Karnataka "sting operation"

The Election Commission of India has asked the Chief Election Officer of Karnataka to submit a report on allegations about attempts being made to buy out MLA votes for elections to Rajya Sabha.

"The ECI has received queries from various media persons regarding alleged sting operations by some channels related to Rajya Sabha elections in Karnataka. In this regard, the Commission has asked CEO Karnataka to provide a report on the facts of the matter," said an Election Commission statement.
