A team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday raided the house of Dukhataran-e-Millat (DeM) chief Asiya Andrabi in Srinagar. However, no material evidence was seized.

An official said the NIA team arrived at the residence of DeM chief Andrabi at Iqbal Colony 90-Feet Road in Srinagar’s Soura early in the morning.

The official said the team could not search the house or seize any material evidence as no male member was in the house at the time of raid.

The NIA registered a fresh case against Ms. Andrabi under various sections of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967 (UAPA) on April 27 and was shifted to a New Delhi jail on July 6. Sofi Fehmeeda and Nahida Nasreen, two other associates of Ms. Andrabi, were also shifted with her.
