Southern States join hands to probe blasts

August 05, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 06:03 am IST - KOLLAM:

A team from the Kollam police that went to Mysuru in the wake of Monday’s bomb blast at a court complex there said the blast had several similarities with the blasts at the court complex here on June 15 and at a court complex at Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, on April 7.

All the three were low-intensity explosions and had court complex as targets.

The other similarities include the mode and placement of bombs, nature of explosives, manner in which the bombs were manufactured, and the similar electronic gadgets used to trigger the blast. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday said the blast at Mysuru bore similarities with the Chittoor and Kollam blasts. Though many clues have been gathered not much headway has been made in identifying the persons behind the blasts.
