The former Chief Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) State unit president H.D. Kumaraswamy on Friday alleged that it was a well-known fact that the former Speaker of the Legislative Assembly K.R. Ramesh Kumar has grabbed forest land in Kolar district.

Addressing an election rally at Government PU College grounds in Srinivaspur, Mr. Kumaraswamy asked the voters to be aware of such people who come before them “posing as honest persons”.

Mr. Ramesh Kumar is the Congress candidate in the Srinivaspur constituency. “Mr. Ramesh Kumar is an opportunist,” Mr. Kumaraswamy alleged.

He said that the party is committed to providing permanent drinking water supply to the region.

Janata Dal(S) candidate G.K. Venkatashiva Reddy spoke.
