Karnataka reports 33 cases, one death

Karnataka reported 33 new COVID cases on Wednesday taking the total to 39,45,760. Of the 33, 28 cases have been reported from Bengaluru Urban alone.

The day’s test positivity rate in the State stood at 0.23% while the weekly TPR remained 0.35%.

With one death, the State’s toll touched 40,056. Besides, 42 deaths of patients due to non-COVID-19 reasons have also been recorded.

With this the weekly Case Fatality Rate (CFR) in the State touched 0.99%.

As many as 85 persons were discharged on Wednesday taking the total recoveries to 39,04,247.  Active cases reduced to 1,415.

As many as 13,824 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, including 9,328 RT-PCR tests. With this, the total number of tests rose to 6,56,58,969.
