II PU exam from today

March 12, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:41 am IST

Coaching centres and shops with photocopying facility will be under the scanner as the II Pre-University final exam gets under way across the State from Thursday. As many as 6.1 lakh students will be writing the exam, which will conclude on March 27. However, the PU department’s proposal to install CCTV cameras in some of the 73 ‘hyper-sensitive’ examination centres is yet to get the government’s nod. DPUE Director Sushama Godbole appealed to parents and students to inform the department immediately in case of hearing rumours of question paper leaks. The helpline for students is (080)23083900. — Staff Reporter
