The regional office of the Provident Fund in Kalaburagi has achieved the highest collection of arrears of nearly Rs. 6.07 crore during 2014-15, which is the highest among all the five regional offices in Karnataka and Goa.

Addressing a joint press conference here, Provident Fund Commissioners Maruti Bhoyi and R.V. Alavandikar and Assistant Commissioner Riteshkumar Soni said that the collection of the arrears in the 14 districts coming under the Kalaburagi Regional Office of the Provident fund was highest when compared to the collection of arrears by offices in Bengaluru, Mangaluru and Goa.

The office of the Provident Fund in Kalaburagi has jurisdiction over three districts. Mr. Bhoyi said that after streamlining the functioning of provident fund offices in the country and introducing the online settlement of accounts, the settlement of claims and settlement of death claims have become less cumbersome.
