BJP will organise cadre camps to instill ideology and discipline among its workers, Muralidhar Rao, BJP national secretary and Karnataka in-charge, said in Bidar on Saturday.

“We plan to train at least 1.5 million party workers across the country in the first phase,” Mr. Rao said in a party workers’ meeting in Bidar on Friday. With 100 million workers, the BJP has emerged as the

biggest political party in the world, he claimed. However, we need to train new members and reorient the senior ones, Mr Rao said.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government would bring in a scheme to provide every citizen health and life insurance and pension. These schemes should be up and working before the end of five years, he said. He expressed confidence that the Union government would provide a corruption-free government.
