JeM militant killed in Baramulla

A Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militant was killed in an operation in north Kashmir’s Baramulla on Saturday.

An official said a contact was established with hiding militants at Bujtalan village of Uri area in Baramulla during a search operation.

“In the ensuing encounter, one militant was killed and the body was retrieved from the site. From the incriminating material recovered, he has been identified as from Pakistan and associated with the JeM,” the police said.

The Army’s 6 JAKLI, the police’s special operation group and the CRPF were conducting the operation.
