February 13, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - KURNOOL:

Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal leaders on Friday warned youth against celebrating Valentine’s Day saying it was against Indian culture.

VHP district president Sai Reddy, secretary A.V. Prasad and Bajrang Dal leader Ajit warned youth that they would perform marriage of lovers if they venture into parks or other public places and try to exhibit their love. The boys and girls caught by the activists would be counselled and their parents will be informed about their acts, they warned.

Youth are projecting their infatuation and attraction as love, they said. The VHP, Bajrang Dal and ABVP would conduct awareness camps in colleges on Saturday to enlighten the youth against Valentine’s Day. They intend to take out a motorcycle and burn an effigy of Valentine at Raja Vihar bus shelter on February 14.
