After the indefinite fast for six days for keeping the state united, it was now a mammoth ‘Tirumala Padayatra’ from Chittoor for the legislator C.K. Jayachandra Reddy.
Mr.Reddy, also known as C.K.Babu, launched his Padayatra on Wednesday morning, followed by a huge congregation of over 2000 persons at Durga Circle in Chittoor town. Armed with an ambitious target of trekking a distance of 94 km up to the hill shrine, Mr.Babu, who is also the district Chairman of ‘Samaikhya Rashtra Parirakshana Vedika’, prayed to invoke the blessings of the Lord Venkateswara and also vowed to bring pressure on the UPA Government. People from various walks of life, who are already in the Samaikyandhra movement, joined him in the massive trek.
The ‘Yatra’ was launched with the garlanding of the statue of Dr.B.R. Ambedkar amid deafening slogans such as ‘Jai Samaikhyandhra’. Advocates and employees on Samaikyandhra agitation greeted Mr.Babu and expressed to him their solidarity.
