‘Allow him to present his side of story’

Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday insisted that CBI Director Alok Verma be allowed to place his side of the story at a meeting of the high-power committee chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to consider the question his divestment. The committee is expected to meet again on Thursday.

According to Congress sources, Mr. Kharge insisted that there should be no “witch-hunting” and the CVC report on Mr. Verma should be shared.
