Chairman of the UCPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has mustered support from nine political parties in his bid to unseat the Madhav Kumar Nepal-led government.

Among others, the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum, the CPN (Unified), the Nepal Sadbhavana Party, the Nepali Janata Dal and the Rastriya Janamukti Party have supported the Maoists in seeking the resignation of Mr. Nepal.

A meeting of the 10 political parties concluded that the present government was unable to complete the peace process and present Constitution in time. Hence it should go to pave the path for a national government.
