MP apprises Rajnath Singh

Union Minister had given an assurance that all necessary help would be rendered.

Member of Parliament R.Radhakrishnan on Thursday apprised the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh about the situation prevailing in Puducherry following heavy rain.

Mr. Radhakrishanan said the Union Minister had given an assurance that all necessary help would be rendered.

Participating at a discussion in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, Mr. Radhakrishnan said the Union Territory should be included under NDRF and Rs. 100 Cr. should be released immediately.

In Rajya Sabha, MP N.Gokulakrishnan pointed out that the Chief Minister N.Rangasamy wrote to Centre for the release of Rs.182.45 crore as flood relief.
