A woman, a teenager and a three-year-old boy were killed in a freak accident near Timbuktu Hotel in Vikhroli at 9.35 p.m. on Saturday. An officer from the Parksite police station said, “Laxmi Waghmare (50), Sayama Waghmare (15) and Kartik Waghmare (3) were sleeping under a parked tanker. Another tanker, while parking in reverse, rammed into the first tanker, causing it to roll over the trio.”
The officer said the driver of the second tanker had fled the scene. The police, however, arrested him later in the night.
