The Malaysia-based CIDB Holdings will invest Rs 10,000 crore in highway projects, including the Nagpur-Mumbai Maharashtra Samruddhi corridor.
“The proposed Samruddhi corridor is our Govt's path breaking initiative as we believe that good roads are key to infrastructure,” Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis tweeted.
Dr. Judin Bin Abdul Karim, president CIDB Holdings, Malaysia, and state Chief Secretary, Swadheen Kashtriya, were present when the agreement was signed in Nagpur on Saturday. “I welcome CIDB for this association with GoM & contribution in Samruddhi corridor, which will create history in the years to come,” the CM said.
The 793 km Nagpur-Mumbai Communication Superhighway will be an eight-lane expressway connecting Nagpur, Amravati, and Aurangabad with Mumbai. It expected to halve the travelling time between Nagpur and Mumbai.
