Goa Governor Mridula Sinha, who is a writer, has written a script for Jagriti , a dance-drama on AIDS and drugs and about its awareness, to be staged across the State soon.

The Jagriti programme is choreographed and presented by Padma Bhushan awardee Saroja Vaidyanathan along with a troupe of 11 artists.

The Goa Directorate of Art & Culture in a joint collaboration with the Goa State AIDS Control Society is organising an awareness drive on AIDS and drugs from February 24 to 26. Jagriti is a contemporary production using classical dance forms, Kathak and Bharatnatyam, and as the name denotes it is choreographed for awareness about AIDS, said a spokesperson of the Goa Directorate of Art and Culture on Monday.
