Patidar community leader Hardik Patel will guide Mumbai Congress activists on handling social media at a session on Thursday.
Mumbai Congress chief Sanjay Nirupam tweeted on Wednesday, “We have invited @HardikPatel_ to Mumbai tomorrow to interact with our social media activists. PAAS has very strong presence on social media. How ? Let’s know Welcome Hardikbhai !”
Mr. Patel will interact with social media cell office-bearers of the Mumbai Congress in a closed-door session at Rangsharda Hall in Bandra, and will guide them on how to handle the trolls and spread the party’s message.
“He is active on social media and has a huge following. His tweets and comments have helped increase his popularity. We are always ready to learn from different sources, and that is why we have invited him to interact with us,” said a Congress office-bearer.
This is one of the first times that the Congress is inviting an outsider to guide the party activists. The party has recently revamped its social media cell to boost its online presence.
