Solatium announced

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Tuesday announced a solatium to families of an Army soldier from Krishnagiri district and two students, who had died in two separate incidents.

Referring to the death of Lance Havildar C. Ramasamy attached to the 10th battalion of the Madras Regiment during an accident in Tawang area of Arunachal Pradesh while on duty on May 19, Ms. Jayalalithaa, in a statement, condoled his death and announced a solatium of Rs. 10 lakh to the bereaved family. Ms. Jayalalithaa also condoled the death of two students, who were electrocuted in an accident near Sothupparai in Theni district on May 29 and announced a solatium of Rs. one lakh to each of the families.
